It happens. Your phone gets wet. What can be an event that may destroy your phone, there are a few things you can do to save it.
Rule 1) Don't try to power it on or wake it up to see if it's OK. This is probably the worst thing you could do.
Rule 2) Dry it off fast. Towel it off first and get it in a bag of dry rice. This will pull moisture out of the phone. If you are able to open the back of the phone and remove the battery, do so.
Rule 3) Have it looked at. Water usually kills the battery right away. You will most likely need it replaced. Let us give it a free evaluation though. Get it to us quickly and we may be able to save it. If it sits long, corrosion begins eating the phone from the inside out.
